finapp — Privacy Policy

What finapp does

finapp is a personal-finance app for Moldova. You upload your bank statements and record loans, cash and money you lent; the app builds a private picture of your finances and forecasts your balance.

Data we store

Your account email and password (password stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider); the bank statement PDFs you upload; the transactions, accounts, loans, labels and settings derived from them. We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers or any data from your device beyond what you explicitly upload or enter.

Where it lives

All data is stored in the European Union (Supabase, eu-west-1) and processed by our backend hosted on Railway. Data is isolated per user: every record is tied to your account and protected by row-level security. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

What we do with it

Only what the app shows you: categorising transactions, computing your net worth, forecasts and insights. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing, or show ads. No analytics or tracking SDKs are embedded in the app.

Automatic bank access

finapp does not connect to your bank. Data enters the app only when you upload a statement PDF yourself.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete individual items in the app at any time, export everything as JSON (Settings → Data & backup), or permanently delete your entire account — including all uploaded files and your login — in Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Service providers

Supabase (database, authentication, file storage — EU region) and Railway (backend compute). Both act as processors of your data on our behalf.
